I have known Kim Forkert of Parkhurst Design for over 15 years through her interior design work that she has done on both business and private colleagues and friends of mine. When my wife and I decided to totally refurbish our beach house it was naturally Parkhurst Design that we engaged for our project. I initially contacted Kim to help with the selection of colours on the exterior and interior of our new home. Kim was quick to identify our needs and incorporate our ideas while enabling us to keep to budget. After one hour Kim gave us confidence to contract her further to help select furniture, window, light fittings and accessories for our home. Because of her involvement our home is unique, comfortable, stylish but still a home. Kim was so easy to work with and I would not hesitate to work with her again and recommend her to others.

Kim has worked with me on a number of projects over the past few years. I have always been impressed with her ability and willingness to listen to the clients brief and tailor the interior colours and fabrics to best suit that client’s individual and personal taste. Kim is also not afraid to be adventurous and risqué with colours when the style of project permits. Kim is somewhat like a breath of fresh air in marine interior design in that she is not dictatorial and will adapt her own thoughts to that of the client and designer to have the end result one that we can all be justly proud.

I feel very privileged to have known Kim from Parkhurst Design since 2005 when she came highly recommended to assist me with the renovation of a commercial office. I could see immediately that Kim had a unique ability with the use of colour. Kim is always professional, listens, and is therefore very understanding of your requirements. She is very easy to deal with, fun to work with and she always completes the project in the time frame required. I would not hesitate to ask Kim for assistance with any future project I might have and would be most appreciative to have Kim’s input. I know I can leave the interior design side of any project to Kim whom I trust to come up with the perfect solution.
